Simple - Direct - Effective

No Water in The Bedroom Avoid from installing water features such as aquariums and desktop fountains in bedrooms. The gurgle of water may sound soothing, but its fast-moving energy is too strong for a Yin location such as bedrooms and will only deplete one's energy what's more it can even disrupt the harmony of your Love life.

Water features are better located in areas aside from where one sleeps.

This Tip also applies to pictures and frames of rivers, oceans, lakes or any type of large moving waters hung behind you in the bedroom. They denote to your luck and prospects being 'smothered'. These pictures are best for living rooms and lounges instead.

Cacti and Bonsai – Bad Feng Shui
Lovers of cacti plants and Bonsai, take caution – keep your love of these plants out of the home! This is because the spikes of the cactus plant acts as poison arrows, or Sha Qi, and will only harm you and other dwellers of the home if placed at the interior of the home. Whereas the Bonsai is not conducive to good Feng Shui because they denote to ‘stunted' growth.

No Baguas In The House
The Bagua is an all-powerful tool to ward off bad energies and poison arrows from your home, and they are expressly created to be hung at the exterior of one's home. Do not under any circumstances hang one inside your house as a form or decoration!

Cleanse Your Crystals
When you make a purchase of crystals for Feng Shui or healing purposes, do not immediately put them to use – remember to cleanse them for the best usage. Cleansing a crystal is easy! Simply submerge your crystals in a basin of distilled water overnight and you're all set.

Some Feng Shui companies now provide crystal cleansing services gratis before they ship out their orders, but even this does not safeguard the natural energies of the crystals because during transit and shipping the item may have been opened up, examined and touched by officers. Therefore it is always good to stay safe and cleanse your crystals.

No Overhead Beams
Wooden overhead beams look attractive and are very popular, but they are very negative in terms of Feng Shui. Sleeping below a beam is especially detrimental because the formation can affect your life in a serious, all-encompassing way. You can avoid the bad energies of the beams by moving them altogether, or hang a cure at the beam. Wooden flutes, bamboo Feng Shui item makes and faceted crystals are all suitable for this purpose.

Cool Colors For Good Sleep and Rest
The most ideal bedroom is quiet, soothing and tranquil. Avoid ‘hot' colors such as yellows, oranges and reds in this area. You should also pay particular attention to framed images you place in your bedroom – for instance, do avoid grotesque images depicting violence and gore as well as aggressive images of animals.

Staircase and Door
If your front door faces a staircase going up, this is deemed inauspicious because it denotes Qi, or energy, rushing outside the home instead of meandering around the house. Relocate your main entrance to your home to another door, or simply place a lovely potted plant at the stair area.

Mast of The Ship
Miniature ships are wonderful symbols of wealth attainment. But, remember to point the mast towards the interior of your home and not facing a door or window. This may lead to your wealth ‘sailing' away! This goes the same for your chan chu, or Money Toad too. Don't direct its head towards a window or door – keep it nosed towards the home.

No Cluttered Cash Registers
This is for those in retail or restaurant business: your cash register should be clear of any clutter for the best Feng Shui and wealth prospects! Keep this area clean, neat and fresh-smelling, and squirrel away telephone books, log books, receipts and other clutter in drawers. Place a lucky cat and some Chinese coins on your cash register to help your business along.

Desk Facing
If you are a career person, your work desk shouldn't be directly in line with a door, or under a beam. You will be in the line of Sha, or bad Qi this way! Do reposition your desk. If this is not a feasible option for you, place a potted plant in front of your table to soften the blow.
